Adong Evelyn â 50 7 children, 4 died. 2 died at birth, 2 from malaria at young age. Taking care of 6. My husband died in 1988. I was inherited by my brother-in-law. He was supposed to take care of me and the children, it was a decision made by the clan. But he was not a good man. I had 3 more children with him. He didnât take care of my children, only the ones with his other wife. I decided to leave him so I wouldnât have more children. I used to think too much. Sometimes I felt like dying. Having the support from the group has changed my life. I get advice from them and now I am strong. Before AWR there was no way to get money. Now I can take a loan. I have opened up more land for farming. I have money now.
